Home   Location   Accommodation   Fishing   Gallery   Prices   Contact Us   Links	Approximately 3 years ago the lake was drained down by the previous owners, many of the small fish were removed and replaced by fast growing mirrors which have done very well since introduction, now weighing 40lb plus! Many of the mirrors are well over 20lb with some of the original commons which run to 20lb plus. In addition to Carp, Catfish are also present up to 50lbs. The lake also contains a good head if silver fish, as well as sturgeon and perch which have been caught at 3lb plus. The lake itself is 2.5 acres, very pretty, stream fed, with a small island and depths ranging from 2-9 feet. A range of approaches can be used to catch the fish, including static bivvy fishing or simple stalking methods. The far margins fish particulalry well. Tackle similar to that in England is suitable. To make your holiday easier we are able to provide bait if required. Bait Package 1 x 20Kg Carp pellets (we recommend 2 x 20Kg between 3 fisherman per week). We do not supply hook baits. Rules Particle baits are not to be used i.e. peanuts, maize etc Maximum of 2 rods per person allowed Braided main lines only to be used for Cat fishing Minimum of 15lb breaking strain line to be used No sacking of fish Barbless hooks only to be used Un hooking mats must be used No swimming allowed No litter to be left around the lake including cigarette butts Boat should only be used during daylight hours at your own risk and using the life jackets provided Please respect our neighbours, do not trespass on their land or make noise to disturb them Antiseptic Cream to be used on hook holes before the fish are placed back in the water.
